The gymnastics objects teaching in preparation of physical education teachers

Abstract

Gymnastic excercises may be effectively utilized in all physical activities of children and the youth. The future of Gymnastics primarily relies on quality education of PE experts, their corresponding knowledge in the branch and capability to use them effectively in practise.

The thesis aims to analyse and evaluate study plans of gymnastic subjects in acredited study programmes of faculties educating PE teachers. Comparison of respective documents has shown a considerable diversification of education within selected faculties.

However it is the ultimate responsibility of that particular faculty to define the essential content of study programmes. The study has demonstrated the necessity to establish a uniform system educating PE teachers to maintain required quality of education process.

In order to increase effectiveness and quality of student education a closer integration of faculty departments is desirable including mutual co-operation when searching for links between individual subjects and branches.
