Abstract
Every legal system wants to delimit authority and powers of his goverment representatives and establish checks and balances and provide effective limits of their influence. This effort was in ancient Rome completely logical, because Roman officials had a large privileges and therefore possess quite considerable power.
For this reason existed in ther republican law system the principle of legal responsibility of the Roman officials.
