Abstract
Author of the book examines the phenomenon of apparent modernity of the contemporary world. Citing examples of medieval and contemporary perception of time, experiencing childhood and old age, relationship to money, marriage, disease and fear shows how many people are currently in common with the people of the Middle Ages, as in many ways seemingly changed everyday modes of human behavior and thought.
