This volume contains individual and common studies from two authors - a linguist and a literary scholar - concerning dialogue, dialogicity and dialogism as a basic structure for various text types and as an analytical method. In four parts of the book, the authors focus on:
1) dialogue in letters of well-known representatives of Czech culture, as well as contemporary private correspondence, letters, e-mails and SMS of young people;
2) dialogue in plays, in dramatic arts;
3) intersemiotic dialogues;
4) some interesting texts moving between a dialogue and a monologue.
