Abstract

The chapter analyzes reflection of the American Secretary of State's visit to Belgrad in June 1991 from a perspective of the Yugoslav press. Specifically, it investigates expectations and basic rating of Baker's visit in Borba, Vjesnik and Politika newspapers during the last days of the Yugoslav federation existence.

The main attention has been given to a different way of presenting the key points of the American attitude towards the ongoing Yugoslav crisis. The article also takes into consideration international policy of the collapse of Yugoslavia in June 1991.
