Jurek Becker: "Jacob the Liar" and "The Tale of the sick princess." Some reflections on the literary communication and on the transmission of the childhood scenes from the life in the ghetto

Abstract

The presented study aims to show the role of art and literary communication for teacher trainig in foreign language and foreign language teaching. This study focuses on childhood scenes from the World War II.

On the examples of analysis and proposals of a didactic adaptation of the novel "Jacob the Liar," fairy tale is shown as one of the medium f dealing with the life in the ghetto.
