The Occurrence of Cariogenic and Periodontal Bacteria in 1-yr-old Infants with Very Low Birth Weights and Their Mothers
Abstrakt
The early transmission of cariogenic and periodontal bacteria to the oral cavity of 1-yr-old infants was found. The early presence of cariogenic bacteria is a risk factor for future caries development.
The clinical significance of oral periodontal pathogens occurrence at such a young age could be the matter of future research.
