Abstract
A chapter, using a title of an essay collection by late Karel Kryl (Země Lhostejnost = The Country of Indifference), presents a way in which an image of the past is constructed through music in contemporary Prague. On a theoretical level, the author aims to provide a typology of ways ("modalities") of remembering.
