The article emphasizes Borges' archetypal vision and involvement of Argentinian myth in universal ancient images. In Borges' interpretation, a slow ""Creole time"" and a motif of happiness seen sub specie aeternita-tis, contributes to create a transparent atemporal atmosphere.
