Right to secession in relation to situations on Kosovo and Crimea

Abstract

The article is concerned with the international law position towards secession. Since secession by its definition always happens against will of a paternal state, it represents highly controversial way of creation of state.

In Europe the secession has been recently remembered in connection with independence declaration by Kosovo and Crimea, therefore these two situations shall be considered more closely.
