Distribution of clinical phenotypes in a population of patients with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (a pilot analysis of baseline data in a Czech multicenter research database of COPD)

Abstract

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a heterogeneous syndrome which primarily affects the lung parenchyma and lower airways. The pilot analysis of baseline data from the 1st part of the research database showed a variability of clinical parameters of patients with a severe form of COPD and a diversity of phenotypes of this serious syndrome.
