The Miraculous Rise of the Fifth Dynasty : The Story of Papyrus Westcar and Historical Evidence

Abstract

The paper deals, in the light of the Czech archaeological excavations in Abusir and the new historical evidence, with the ascent of the 5th Dynasty and the role of three royal mothers named Khentkaus two of whom bore a very ucommon title "Mother of Two Kings of Upper and Lower Egypt".
