Abstract
The contribution to the work of the workshop Thanksgiving Czechoslovak people Generalissimo J. V.
Stalin charted the process of creating a work based on newly discovered preparatory sketches and contemporary photographs. The work was based on archival material, newly interpreted.
As a contribution to be closer to the image presented to the authors Jan Čumpelík, Alena Čermáková and Jaromir Schor. The image is an icon of socialist direction from the early 50s and demonstrates the inaccuracy contemporary formulation of the form and content of socialist realism.
