Experiments with particle camera MX-10

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2014

Abstract

Particle camera Medipix / Timepix is a unique detection system of radiation developed by the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN). At the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics (IEAP) CTU the software for professional applications (Pixelman) and student work (Simple preview) was created [1,2].

In 2013 the detector labeled MX-10, including the software and accessories to school demonstrations and experiments was produced and distributed by Czech company Jablotron [3]. At the workshop, participants had the opportunity to try the Kit and to measure several experiments that illustrate selected properties of ionizing radiation.
