Czech multicentric research database of severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease - project description

Abstract

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a frequently occurring condition with many clinical forms. COPD represents a significant factor causing increased morbidity and mortality especially among the elderly.

The primary goal of the project is to record and analyse the course of the disease and its impact of the overall patient mortality in relation to the GOLD categories and COPD phenotypes.
