Abstract
The publication deals with summary and general analysis of basic findings of criminological research of sanctions in the context of the criminal law reform in the Czech Republic, including description of regulation of sanctions, their purpose, analysis of trends of sanction policy, recidivism in the cases of selected alternative sanctions and a reflection of sanction and sanction policy in the public opinion and a medial presentation of these problems. Publication also contains some proposals of changes regulation and approaches in judicial praxis.
