The article analyzes the opinion of Czechoslovakia (the official diplomacy as a whole and the individual actors) to the process of German unification in 1990, in particular in connection with the negotiation process of the "2 + 4 treaty" (Moscow Treaty) and the subsequent bilateral agreements. Also the internal discourse of the Czechoslovak dissidents about the German unification and its effect on the official foreign policy after 1989 is considered.

Greater attention will be paid in this context, the German-Czechoslovak neighborhood Treaty of 1992 and other specific consequences of German unification for Czechoslovakia.
