This article discusses the use of remote sensing to assess vegetation above the tree line in Krkonoše National Park. It demonstrates appropriate classification legends based on the spatial resolution of remote sensing data (i.e., an orthophoto with a spatial resolution of 12.5 cm and a Landsat 8 image with 30 m resolution).
The article also describes parameters suitable for evaluating vegetation condition (LAI, fAPAR, CCI), methods for field measurements and connecting these with remote sensing image data.
