Abstract

The research contribution focuses on rating the current level of life quality among adult people with differing degrees of hearing impairment in the Czech Republic. The main goal of the presented project is the mapping of subjectively and objectively rateable areas of life quality among the hearing impaired.

The secondary goal is evaluating the possibility of the blanket use of the World Health Organisation (WHO) questionnaire titled WHOQOL BREF & DISABILITIES MODULE among a minority group of deaf Czechs. In terms of the research, qualitative and quantitative methods are used.

The quantitative part contains two questionnaires, one is from WHO, the second was prepared by the author's team of the project. The quantitative part consists of rating subjective life quality among individual respondents.

So far, pilot testing has taken place, which focused on rating the usability of the investigative team questionnaire. The actual research is planned for the end of 2015.
