Abstract
The article popularizing the form of nursery school teachers and the public with the results of the combined research based on the children's ideas about nature. Investigations with the research question "What is nature?" conducted among 342 children from 21 kindergartens in the Czech Republic.
Children's responses were literally writing, recording and processing. Most children described nature as a list (species or ecosystems), one match more or less professional definition of nature, others perceive nature as a place to live, others have reported as a source of food and materials, some children describe nature as a place of activity or place that I love.
Some children describe very romantic nature as a harmonious place, paradise. One boy described nature as the experience of playing games on a tablet.
So the children's ideas about nature can be monitored preconceptions, concepts and misconcepts.
