Abstract
The article presents the original breed of dog in the field of biblical Canaan (standard, history, typical behavior, differences from the more domesticated breeds). Despite the fact that the breed is recognized by the FCI and other kennel clubs, in place of the original occurrence are still moving wild individuals - pariah (opportunistically forming a living group).
In Israel are from 2011, protected by the law. Thus becoming a suitable model species for environmental education.
