Abstract
The article informs about the celebration of the centennial anniversary of the start of teaching of the Czech language in Texas, which took place on the 11th April 2015 at the University of Texas in Austin. A number of the distinguished guests participated in it, they were welcomed by the president of CEFT (Czech Educational Foundation of Texas) Clinton Machann.
Also the working meeting of the committee of the foundation took place then. The main part of the program of celebration consisted of a symposium, in which participants expressed their experiences and memories shared by a number of persons associated with the teaching of the Czech language and Czech culture in Texas.
