Abstract
The article presents the basic characteristics of a mastaba belonging to a chief physician Shepseskafankh dated to the Fifth Dynasty. This mastaba is one of the earliest structures in a family compound from the reign of Nyuserra during whose reign many vital change in the state and society took place.
