Abstract
The author quotes number of kabbalistic writings, Talmudic tractates, midrashim, the works of Jewish commentators etc. and tries to elucidate the importance of king David (either as a hierophantic archetype or as a personality fulfilling specific role in historia sacra Iudaica) in the complex texture of Jewish mysticism.
