Abstract
The paper informs about the celebrations of the anniversary of the birth of the founder of the modern Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, which took place in Prague on the 7th May 2015 at the National House in Vinohrady. At the occasion of this anniversary, the Day of the flowers is celebrated in Baku.
Inci Keremli from the Center of Czech language and culture of Baku Slavic University, has translated, in collaboration with doc. Bozděchová from the Faculty of Arts, Charles University seven tens of the most famous aphorisms by Heydar Aliyev.
In connection with the anniversary of his birth they are here given in Azerbaijan original and in the Czech translation.
