Abstract
After a brief summary concerning the Aramaic epigraphy, the author presents his own interpretation of the Aramaic inscription on stela no. III from Sefire (Syria).
In the article he presents how this text may shed a new light on some Old Testament texts that concern different coalitions of Levantine states in the Iron Age.
