The Cave of Montesinos - ambivalence of interpretations and motifs

Abstract

The paper outlines different interpretations of the famous chapter of the second volume of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra where Don Quixote descends to the Cave of Montesinos. The paper also tries to suggest new interpretation based on the ambivalence of motifs of this adventure.
