The Jesuits and the Personality of Jakub Kresa - The Society of Jesus in the Second Half of the XVIIth and the First Half of the XVIIIth Centuries

Abstract

This Jesuit scholar became famous not as an eminent scientist in the Czech Province of the Society of Jesus, but also abroad. As a mathematician (Trigonometry) and astronomer achieved success especially in Spain, where he worked at the Naval School in Cadiz.
