The 2nd Contemporary Central and South-East European Cinema in Transition Post-Graduate Conference: ""Space in Two Dimensions: Exploring the Concept of Space in the Visual Cultures of Central and South-East Europe""
Abstrakt
The purpose of this post-graduate conference was to explore the potentialities of space in film and visual culture of Central and Eastern Europe. Our motivation in organising this event has been to recognise that for all of us post-graduate researchers engaged with Central and South-East European Cinema, the region is anything but a fringe.
The occasion provides us with an arena in which to share our latest research and receive useful contributions in the form of suggestions and advice. Moreover, given the diversity of the region, it also allows us to escape the immediacy of our individual research contexts and uncover alternative perspectives, without descending into the generalisations of a conference with an even broader scope.
