Abstract
Author in his study reacts to a review of Kant's Studies on history and politics (OIKOYMENH 2013), but develops his own analysis of Kant's and Herder's teleology and philosophy of humanity. He forms the confrontation of Kant's and Herder's approaches towards the question of moral purpose of human existence, towards the question of the sense of the history of humanity as we can find them in Herder's Ideas for the Philosophy of History of Humanity (1784-91) on the one hand and in Kant's reviews of this work (1785) on the other hand.
