The Czech Extreme Right: Where does it Find its Voters?

Publication at Faculty of Science |

Abstract

This article examines the Czech extreme right, its voters and its election platform. The article seeks to evaluate the extreme right in terms of the geographical distribution of voter support from 1990 to 2010 and to uncover possible determining factors that motivate voters to choose this political direction.

Extreme right voters are often labelled as protest voters. However, both the creation of the political orientation itself and deciding to vote for the extreme right are multicausal processes, so a number of factors could be in play.
