Abstract
The present article deals with the 22nd Czech-German Workshop organised by the Institute of Phonetics at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in September 2014. The latest trends in speech communication research were presented.
The workshop enabled its participants to get acquainted with the research findings concerning some languages from the perspective of both native and second language, on the segmental and prosodic level. The analysis of human speech is conducted within linguistic-phonetic and speech engineering framework using acoustic, articulatory, computational and neuroimaging methods.
