Abstract
Translation of the article "Practical science of religion"" of the German researcher Udo Tworuschka. The Practical science of religion can be characterized as an autonomous socio-critical discipline aimed at creating practically beneficial, utilizable knowledge, and its implementation in practice.
It is not only a science that applies the findings of academic study to "practical" issues, but a science that has, according to Tworuschka, both a "descriptive" component, and also a "normative" component, which goes beyond the standard understanding of empirical sciences.
