Abstract
Mondino de Liuzi was the main European anatomist in the era before Vesalius. He also made a great contribution to the education of anatomy at the former Faculty of Medicine in Prague.
His supremacy in science was prominent. Not even in his late years was his fame vanishing.
His book was used for the teaching practice even at the Faculty of Medicine in Prague and one unknown student wrote into that precious manual: Non est melior liber de anathomia quam iste Mundini...
