Electroluminescence revolution in lighting techniques

Abstract

The injection electroluminescence is probably the most efficient way of converting electricity into light. The paper describes the main advantages as well as drawbacks of LED-based light sources together with some topics of current research in the field.

Possible health effects of artificial lighting are briefly discussed, too.
