Abstract

In the study were repeatedly measured basic growth and motor indicators of preschool children in Bohemia and Moravia after 33 years. There have been measured 2097 children in age 3 to 7.

We measured basic growth indicators - height and weight, and calculated Body Mass Index. In further tests were measured basic motor skills - 20m running, long jump from a spot and ball throwing by right and left hand.

These results monitor a trend of continuous physical growth, decreased in its performance in relation to motor skills, where children from larger cities, especially Prague show better performance than children from rural areas.
