Abstrakt
The encyclopedic dictionary deals in detail about the literary work and the life fortunes of major 19th Century French writer George Sand. It follows also the literary reception of Sand's legacy in France and abroad.
My entry is entitled "Bohême" and it summarizes the relationship of George Sand to Bohemia from two specific angles. I firstly deal with Bohemia and its history as it appears in Sand's representation of geographical and literary phenomena.
I then draw attention to numerous testimonials that Sand and her work encountered in Czech literary milieu. The entry provides the reader with extensive bibliography to the topic.
