VARIABILITY OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SWIMMING SKILLS BY THE CHILDREN WITH THE AUTISTIC SPECTRUM DEFECT (ASD)
Abstract
With increasing amount of people with the autistic spectrum defect diagnosis is rising the consciousness about that kind of handicap and about the possibilities how to integrate that person (with ASD) in the common life. One of the main methods how to integrate these children in the ordinary life is to mix them with children, pupils and students into the standard schools.
Recently we have registered an increasing offer of leisure time activities for people with the autistic spectrum defect. There are some specific elements in dealing with person with this kind of defect which make the lessons more demanding in a way of the content and the security as well.
There are some specific principles which have to be followed while work with such a person. The didactics is very similar to the didactics of swimming with children without any handicap.
But it is necessary to consider the degree of disability of eac h individual while practising the swimming skills and to be aware of different level of their implementation.
