Fractions - secondary school pupils' problems and their possible causes

Abstract

The text brings the analysis of the clinical interviews with 6 - 9 grade pupils on their solutions of the mathematical problems involving fractions. Some considerations are also made about possible changes in math education which could lead to better understanding of fractions.
