Abstrakt

This scholarly text outlines some of the basic coordinates of Theodor W. Adorno's time spent living and working in the United States in the period of time from 1938-1953.

It evaluates both Adorno's cultural output and the nature of the reception of his intellectual work while in the US, and the formative influence his American experience had on his last years as a cultural producer in Germany from 1954-1969.
