In 2013-2014, the Institute for Classical Archeology (Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague) conducted - in cooperation with the National Heritage Institute and other specialists - an investigation of the site of Hrdly (Litoměřice district). The results confirmed the existence of the local prehistoric enclosure probably created by the Funnel Beaker Culture.
The uncovered area revealed also two burials, which can be dated to the prehistoric era. In 2015 interdisciplinary analysis of the material has begun; supported by the Charles University Grant Agency.
Thorough analysis, based primarily on natural scientific methods, will help date the finding situations and improve the knowledge of this important multi-period site.
