The content ornamentation interpretation of ancient and early medieval manuscripts (as a starting point for gothic illumination)

Abstract

Chapter follows the theme in terms of content options ornamentation interpretations both chronologically: from Late Antiquity to the origins of the High Middle Ages - as the bases of Gothic illumination , incl. manuscripts Hussite period. Secondly, the problem is studied in a comparison of the different cultural areas.

And thirdly, in terms of hierarchy changes the meaning of contemporary art forms.
