Abstract
Recension analyses the mentioned book of P. Kováč in connection with previous essays of this author as well as with edition of Builders of the cathedral and other literature in the field.
The broad theme of the book includes Italian art works as well as objects of Nothern provenience dating from 1250 to 1330, including the cultural historici context. The book focuses on the architecture,sculpture and monumental painting, the important role of the manuscript illumination however was not fully evaluated.
