Abstract
The study is focused on analysis of methodologies and results of the most important world university rankings till 2015. The study is also dealing with benefits, risks, consequences and impact of university rankings.
As a basis for the analysis a joint database of results and classifications of higher education institutions in world university rankings ARWU and QS was created.
