Abstract
The author criticizes the absence of teaching viskosity in chemistry lessons in primary and secondary schools. He recomends this gap be filled by offering pupils experiments which compare the viskosity (and density) of known liquids with the viskosity (and ednsity) of water.
The readily available functional models of viscometers (capillary and ball) can be used for this purpose.
