Team coaching and measuring its effectiveness

Abstract

Based on a systematic review of studies focused on this issue and on the author's long-term research and practical experience, basic similarities and differences in team and individual coaching will be summarised. On the ground of the Kirkpatrick model, the effectiveness measuring of individual and team coaching will be commented.

More detailed attention will be given to the infliction of changes in teamwork and communication. Especially, the procedure which is used in sociomapping when used for team coaching will be explained in more details Sociomapping is copyrighted original method which currently allows, with a software support, rapid collection of data which relates to the current and optimal frequency of communication, as well as its quality.

After reminding of the entire process of sociomapping, from data collection to the final visualization and feedback facilitation, information on the reliability and validity of this method will be presented. Subsequently, several concrete case studies, where sociomapping was used for inflicting changes, will be introduced.

The intervention that led to these changes will also be mentioned with these projects. The contribution conclusion will focus on the summary of best practices in team coaching
