Abstract
Operation of urgent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) was launched in the University Hospital Motol in as part of urgent endoscopic services. The procedure is performed for catchment area patients and for patients from surrounding hospitals.
Between the years and , , urgent procedures were performed in our department. The main indications were acute cholangitis, acute biliary pancreatitis and biliary tract injuries.
Cannulation success achieved in our department was .%, the extraction success was %. Given the high number of urgent ERCP procedures, the endoscopic centre in the University Hospital Motol is a highly specialised department, off ering experienced, knowledgeable staff and modern technical facilities.
