Dancing Maenads and Satyr on sealings from the time of Alexander the Great at Pistiros

Abstrakt

The article deals with recent specific finds from the site of Pistiros, the Greek settlement in central Thracia in Bulgaria excavated in past decades also by the Czech team of classical archaeolgists from Charles University. In particular the seals bearing the images of mythical beings are important as they prove the presence of written documents in the remote site of classical world.
