Abstract
This article discusses sources of water in Central Asia. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have excelent access to water, which they use throughout the year to generate elektricity.
In contrast, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are dependent on water that flows through their borders and which they use primarily for irrigation during summer months. The four countries must cooperate better to resolve the problems presented by their unequal access to water.
