Abstract
The chapter deals with issues of the freedom of testing ensuring each individual the right to dispose of his property, build and maintain lasting family values, continuity of assets and decide about the disposal of assets after death, and legal instruments of succession, inheritance contract and its basic characteristics in Czech civil Code.
